We aim to dispatch all items within one working day but please be patient during busy periods! If you place an order before 11.00am in the morning local time, Monday - Friday, you have a very good chance that the music will be dispatched the same day. Please note that price and availability information are subject to change without notice.

The Progress of your Order

Having placed your order, you will receive emails confirming that it was received by us, and also when (and how) your order was dispatched.

Availability

Our on-line shop is updated every 24 hours, but we cannot guarantee that all items are in stock at all times. Examples of the way we display a product's availability are shown below:

  • 3 in stock
  • Available in approx. 9—12 days
  • In preparation
  • Reprinting
  • Out of print

If you order a title that is not in stock, we will create a special order for you (a "Backorder" - see below). Be aware that it is possible, although very rare, that items marked as 'In Stock' may actually have become 'Out of Stock' at some stage within the last 24 hours. We work very hard to keep this sort of information up-to-date on this website, and the server is updated each night, but we cannot offer perfection! If immediate supply is critical, please do pick up the phone between 8.00am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. We are always pleased to speak to our customers in person.

Backorders

If you order an item from us that is not in stock, the item(s) will be placed on 'Back Order' and sent on to you absolutely as soon as available. We will keep you informed of progress by email.

If an out of stock item becomes particularly difficult to obtain, we will keep you informed at regular intervals via email and keep trying to obtain the item unless you ask us to cancel the back order. If we discover that a title on backorder is 'Reprinting' or has become 'Out of Print', or otherwise unavailable, we will let you know A.S.A.P. - if you do not require a book that has been on backorder, simply let us know and we will cancel it.

Returns

Printed Music Direct offer a very specialist service to musicians. Products are only offered on a "firm sale" basis only, and certainly NEVER "on approval". If you are in any doubt as to exactly what it is you require, then please ring our knowledgable staff who will be very happy to help you choose the correct music before ordering; For example, we can often advise you on different versions/editions of the same music.

If, however, you do have a genuine problem with your purchase once it has been received, under the Distance Selling Act you will be allowed to return the goods for up to 30 days after taking receipt of them. Please telephone and ask for a "Returns Number" and quote this clearly in a covering letter using our original packaging (if possible) to protect the goods. Please be aware that to receive a full credit/refund, returns MUST arrive with us in a good, re-sellable condition with a valid Returns Number. Postage and Packing charges for returns will be met by the customer unless goods are either dispatched (by us) in error or arrive damaged.
