FOR BETTER...FOR WORSE.
Written for my wife Hazel in celebration of 25 years of wedded bliss. There are three movements, as effective on the alto saxophone and clarinet as it is on the soprano saxophone. It gave me lots of fun writing the piece, and it's given us both lots of fun rehearsing and performing it! It's available as a PDF download.
Below is an mp3 recording of our first performance in St Margaret's Church, Roy Bridge, Inverness-shire. Certainly not perfect (!)... but played with enthusiasm and passion and thankfully the audience loved it - as did we! Hazel was playing on her Yamaha Soprano Sax, I was on a Yamaha Electric Keyboard.
Anyone of Grade 6 standard and above should consider having a serious look at For Better...For Worse! The whole work is just under 10 minutes long. Each movement is very different in character and can happily stand on its own.
